On Wordless Wednesdays, people post a photo, or photos, on their blog with no explanation. The story is in the photo. But if you link to the main WordlessWednesday site, you’ll be lost among hundreds of photographers. So I decided to set up a Wordless Wednesday site for gardeners.
Post a photo or photo essay of your flowers, fruits, vegetables, garden, yard, patio, deck, balcony, houseplants, etc. on your blog site. Then come here and click on Mr. Linky below. Follow the directions, then come back to this page to leave a comment. Be sure to visit your fellow gardeners.
Regrettably, Java Script doesn’t seem to run on WordPress, so you have to click on the Mister Linky text below. That will show you who else has linked, and will give you an opportunity to add your name to the link.
Is anyone else out there using WordPress and Mr. Linky? Is this how it works for you? Frustrating.
Great idea! I’m happy to join in.

Thanks, Villager. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s operating properly yet.

Your Mr. Linky is different. I’m not sure why. If you want it to look like mine then send me the code you use via email. I’ll look at it and my code and try to send code back to you that would give it to you. Yours you have to click into first and then it has the links.

Look at that artichoke! Hopefully, I will get at least one this year.
Everything looks great. Lovely pictures.

Thanks, Thomas, Mac and Vrtlaricanna. Good luck Mac, Rain and Thomas with your artichokes and potatoes. I attempted blue potatoes a couple of years ago and got nothing but blighted spuds. I’m hoping that the Smart Pots give me better tubers. Time will tell.

Beautiful! I’m trying my hand at artichokes for the first time this year. Hopefully I know what I’m getting into…

Oops I’m late (again)!
Beautiful flowers, a picture is worth thousand words, no explanation needed.

Hi Dr. Lou,
I’m going to try this as soon as I dig my way out from under the current crazy-busy-ness and get a blog/photo series from my garden posted!
Your artichoke is exquisite, and so is that lovely orange and yellow striped nasturtium.

Thanks, Brenda. I was surprised by the narcissus, as those weren’t the ones shown on the package I bought. I thought I was getting singles, but these are quite pretty. Still, I wish the package labels had been accurate. That’s the second time this year that what grew wasn’t what was indicated on the label.

Hi Kathy, welcome to my green world. Yes, your Wordless Wednesday link was added. I hate the way Mr. Linky works with wordpress, but at least it works. Folks, I hope you’ll stop by Kathy’s blog about sustainable living and organic gardening on Colorado’s Front Range, my old stomping grounds during my wild and wooly youth.

Wordless Wednesday is a great idea. I cheated and did it on Friday this week.
On another note, I have some SERIOUS artichoke envy. I loved your artichoke picture. We just can’t grow them in zone 5.

Hi Katie, nice to meet a fellow Hoosier. I was born and raised in Indianapolis. As for artichokes, visit Thomas at A Growing Tradition. He’s going to try raising them in Massachusetts this summer.
